MEMORIAL DAY CUSTOMER APPRECIATION EVENT

At left Ron Buchanan, Sales Rep at Honda Cars of Rock Hill, presents Charlotte Knights Tickets to Michelle Quick. Michelle won the tickets in a drawing at our Memorial Day Customer Appreciation Event held at the dealership May 25th.

Ron has been with HCRH for 10 years, and is currently selling Michelle and her husband Tommy their fourth vehicle from HCRH, a 2009 CRV EX w/ Navi. The Quicks have been dedicated Service patrons here at HCRH since 2004.

New Auto Tax Deductions Just Signed Into Law

President Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The new law contains a provision designed to entice auto consumers back into vehicle showrooms. This provision applies to eligible purchases between February 17, 2009 and December 31, 2009. Qualifying consumers may now deduct:

· State motor vehicle sales taxes
· Local motor vehicle sales taxes
· Motor vehicle excise taxes

Consumer Qualifications:
· Individual taxpayers whose adjusted gross income is less than $125,000 per year
· Joint-filers whose combined adjusted gross income is less than $250,000 per year
· Itemizers and non-itemizers who may deduct taxes "above-the-line" on their federal tax returns

Eligible Vehicles:
· All new model year vehicles currently on dealers' lots that have no prior purchase history
· New passenger cars and light trucks retailing up to $49,500 may collect full tax deductions. For all vehicles above this price, consumers may deduct sales taxes on the first $49,500
· The vehicle must weigh less than 8,500 pounds total

AS SOON AS I WALKED IN, I WAS GREETED AND ASKED HOW I COULD BE HELPED. I TOLD THEM I HAD AN APPOINTMENT, AND THEY IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE KEYS AND SAID THEY WOULD BE RIGHT WITH ME. IT WAS FINISHED WITHIN THE HOUR, AND I WAS ON MY WAY.

I WOULD NOT GIVE ANYTHING A FIVE UNLESS IT WAS EXCELLENT. THE PRICES WERE A LITTLE HIGH.

The Insight Concept has clear stylistic links to the world's first production fuel cell car, with both vehicles' forms shaped to maximize their aerodynamic efficiency and therefore reduce fuel consumption.

Honda will reveal a concept version of its new small hybrid vehicle, to be named Insight, at the 2008 Paris International Auto Show, October 2, the company announced today. The new Insight Concept shares styling cues with the Honda FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle and will provide an early look at the highly-anticipated five-passenger hybrid vehicle. Going on sale in the U.S. next spring, the all-new purpose-built Insight will come to market at a price significantly below hybrids available today. From this unique position in the marketplace, the Insight will advance the affordability and accessibility of hybrid technology to a new generation of buyers. "The original Honda Insight pioneered hybrid technology in the U.S. and remains a symbol of Honda's commitment to innovative technology and fuel efficiency," said Takeo Fukui, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. CEO. "This new Insight will break new ground as an affordable hybrid within the reach of customers who want great fuel economy and great value." The Insight Concept defines a new stage in the evolution of hybrid technology by utilizing a more cost-efficient version of Honda's Integrated Motor Assist™ (IMA™) hybrid technology, resulting in a new level of affordability for hybrid customers worldwide. The Honda Pilot comes with a five-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control. This feature enables better handling during uphill or downhill situations.
