Always improving upon itself, American Honda posted its latest available 2013 sales statistics for the month of May. And, while the increase can be considered mild (at 5.2 percent, overall) the total number of new models sold or financed through a Honda lease amounted to 125,649 and demonstrated significant and even record-breaking numbers for some models.

So, how did your favorite new Honda autos fare? Here's a quick breakdown Honda Cars of Rock Hill has compiled for you:

American Honda May Sales for Five Individual Models

  • the Honda Fit sold 4,667 units for a whopping 20.3 percent increase
  • the Honda Accord sold 33,218 units for an 11.7 percent increase
  • the Honda CR-V sold 27,298 units for an 8.4 percent increase
  • the Honda Pilot sold 11,963 units for an 11.3 percent increase
  • the Honda Odyssey sold 14,200 for a 15.0 percent increase

As you can see, the Fit, Odyssey and Accord led the increases, while the Accord held strong as the top-selling model for May. Incidentally, it also had a tremendously strong April, as well.

This isn't too surprising to those of us here at Honda Cars of Rock Hill who have always lauded the award-winning Accord for its fuel economy, wide-range of trim grades and its available options including: Bluetooth, Push Button Start, eight-inch center display, Honda LaneWatch and a rear view camera.
