Also, the 2013 Honda Civic Sedan is the first and only small car so far this year to earn the highest possible rating of "Good" on the IIHS' new small overlap front crash test (otherwise known as a 'narrow offset' test) . This test simulates what happens when the front corner of an automobile crashes into another vehicle or object at high speed. The Civic succeeded in all of the offset and oblique collision scenarios.
