The Honda Civic debuted in the early 1970s as the car that will "get you where you're going," and over the past few decades has transformed into one of America's most popular compact cars. This year, the tenth-generation 2016 Honda Civic is the culmination of more than 40 years of Honda engineering, which has crafted a sporty, but still practical, Civic to be released later this year.

A sparking lime green model recently took the stage at the 2015 New York Auto Show, and it's quite spectacular looking. The 2016 edition still retains the classic Civic look, but boasts a longer hood, a new taillight design that wraps around the backend, and a sportier, more powerful-looking silhouette. Under the hood, a new turbocharged engine is matched to a six-speed automatic or CVT transmission.

Honda also confirmed that the model will be available as a sedan, a coupe, and a hatchback. For sport-performance enthusiasts, new variants of the Civic SI and the Civic Type-R (previously unavailable in the U.S.) will also make their way to Honda showrooms.

While we await the arrival of the latest Civic, visit Honda Cars of Rock Hill in Rock Hill, SC and ask about the sporty, reliable, and family-oriented models in our new Honda inventory.
