The "greenest vehicles of 2013" were recently named by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). Among those recognized were 5 new Honda models which demonstrated superior environmental performance. With Honda's increased efforts over the years to improve its lineup in terms of efficiency and performance, here at Honda Cars of Rock Hill we are excited that these vehicles have earned such high ratings.

Receiving recognition for being considered among the "greenest" vehicles available is the Honda Fit EV, the all-electric vehicle that produces zero emissions, ranked second on the list overall. It was joined by two Honda hybrids, the Insight and the Civic Hybrid.

On the list of "greener" vehicles of 2013 is the Honda Fit, the fuel-efficient subcompact vehicle and the Odyssey minivan. This rounds out the 15th year in a row that multiple Honda models have been recognized in the top 12 for green initiatives and fuel efficiency.

These rankings are determined by the "Green Score" that each vehicle receives for its environmental performance. The score is based on measurements of emissions and the vehicle's overall fuel economy.

According to Steven Center, vice president of the Environmental Business Development Office at American Honda Motor Co. Inc.,"Honda's vision for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which is reflected in our environmental slogan of "Blue Skies for our Children," inspires us to lead and innovate in every aspect of our operations, from our product engineering and manufacturing practices to our upstream sales and service activities."1
