Honda has developed a technology called ECO Assist, and it's available in models like the Civic, CR-V and Accord. Essentially, it's a coach to help you develop green driving habits. When you perform fuel-saving maneuvers like steady acceleration, a meter in the dash will glow bright-green. Less fuel-saving moves, meanwhile, will cause the meter to flow in a blue-green tint. This helps you know when you are maximizing green driving maneuvers. Aggressive driving tactic will result in the meter turning blue, which is what you want to avoid.

Of course, Honda knows you might not be able to help yourself sometimes, which is why the dash-mounted ECON button allows you to entrust the legwork to your car. Pressing this button optimizes control of the vehicle's transmission, engine and other elements of the powertrain in order to achieve the best fuel economy possible.

This mixture of coaching and aiding has earned Honda ECO Assist technology a place on Green Car Journal's "Top 10 Green Car Technology List" for 2013. Honda Cars of Rock Hill , located at 686 Galleria Boulevard is incredibly happy to hear this, but realizes that awards may not be enough to win you over.

That's why our new Honda experts are happy to answer any questions that you may have and even set you up for a test drive in the ECO Assist-equipped model you're interested in today. And if you decide that the fuel savings are worth it, they'll even help you secure a car loan or Honda lease to get you back behind the wheel as an owner.
