In what some are calling "ambitious", Honda CEO Takahiro Hachigo has set eyes on the hybrid market, pledging to create more and better green vehicles for an already-efficient lineup of sedans and crossovers. By 2030, he says, nearly two-thirds of Honda's entire global sales will be gas-electric hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric or fuel-cell vehicles.

Determined and ambitious it may be, but this iconic automaker is no stranger to ambition. From versatile everyday performers like the Honda Fit, to the all-new and redesigned Honda Ridgeline truck, they are constantly pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering and new technology.

If electrified vehicles are the future of travel, we're happy to fall in line with Honda.

Along with plans for the production platform for an all-new plug-in hybrid vehicle, and the expansion of hybrid powertrains for existing major models, Honda looks to electrification across the lineup to make them a leader in green technology. Mr. Hachigo says that the brand "[recognizes] the need for a fundamental transformation", and that transformation starts with a strong commitment to efficiency, ingenuity, and quality.
